Olearia is a womenswear label established in Melbourne, Australia in 2018. The brands aesthetic sets its foundations in timeless design, reinventing classic pieces with a focus upon exquisite cuts, decadent fabrication and unique detailing.
Olearia is dedicated to creating beautiful and luxurious garments that are designed and constructed through the use of an overarching ethical and responsible framework.
At Olearia we are constantly seeking to evolve and expand upon our sustainable practises. The majority of our garments are made from deadstock fabrics, most of which are woven from natural fibres such as cotton, wool, silk and linen. Where possible, we avoid using petroleum derived synthetic fabrics, as these are not biodegradable.
Olearia’s studio is powered using 100% carbon neutral energy through Powershop, which is Australia’s greenest power company. Our packaging is sourced through Better Packaging and is 100% biodegradable. We also ship using Sendle, which is Australia's first 100% carbon neutral delivery service and certified B Corporation.
In order to further reduce our carbon footprint, we strive to keep as much of our supply chain within Australia as possible. Our garments are manufactured locally in Melbourne and our labelling is sourced and woven in Sydney.
Post purchase, customer care also plays a big part in reducing the carbon footprint of a garment. Washing garments less frequently on a cold cycle and electing to air dry them are great ways to conserve resources.
Olearia encourages considered purchasing, we hope you love to wear your garments frequently, and only buy what you need.

Olearia endeavours to be as transparent and traceable as possible. Customers can find material and cost breakdowns as well as manufacturing information on the product pages of our website. We are also working alongside our fabric wholesalers to provide a more detailed level of insight into the origins of our raw materials.
